Mission Statement
The Economic Resilience Group is dedicated to expanding and enhancing current emergency and disaster planning, response and recovery for and with the private sector by providing a forum for the exchange of information and a mechanism for coordination of essential resources and services.

Vision
To sustain the vitality of the region and the partnering necessary to facilitate the region's recovery from the long-term consequences of an emergency or disaster by integrating community and business interests to achieve resiliency.

About Us
The Economic Resilience Group was started in 2006 in response to the devastation that was seen in the Southeast in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. We recognize that it takes a cooperative effort between public and private sector to fully recover from any disaster. In Pierce County we want to engage our businesses and other private sector organizations in two way communication to work together in planning for and recovering from local emergency or disaster events.
