Pierce County Human Services is soliciting applications for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) – Public Facilities Projects to provide funding for eligible public facilities projects that benefit low-income communities and/or low-income people, such as water/sewer and/or street improvements, property acquisition, and neighborhood facilities. Senior Center CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Fund CARES Act Funding Request for Senior Center Support Pierce County has made available an estimated $660,000 of Federal CARES Act funding (CFDA# 21.019) to assist senior centers countywide with covering basic expenses required to sustain senior centers during COVID-related closures. Applicants must be a legally incorporated entity, licensed to do business in Washington State. Additionally, Senior Center applicants must have been in operation prior to the implementation of the “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” order to be eligible to receive funding.

For Domestic and Family Violence Programs

The County encourages eligible, qualified and interested organizations to submit applications to provide services in response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Pierce County. The objective of this CARES Act funding is to reduce the impact of COVID-19 on victims of domestic and family violence and increase services so these individuals can return to work and their normal life. This funding will support domestic violence victims impacted by pandemic and assist local domestic violence providers in response to the increased coronavirus disease (COVID-19) public health emergency.   N/A

CARES Act Coronavirus Relief Fund
For Foreclosure Prevention Counseling and Mortgage Assistance

The County encourages eligible, qualified and interested non-profit organizations to submit applications to provide services in response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Pierce County. These CARES Act funds target homeowners who have suffered a COVID-19 related loss of income and are at risk of foreclosure. The intent of the funding is to assist these homeowners retain their homes and avoid foreclosure.
 
The priority is to support public health related needs of people at risk of foreclosure through the following activities: 
- Foreclosure Prevention Counseling; and 
- Direct Mortgage Assistance.

For Homeless Programs
The County encourages eligible, qualified and interested organizations to submit applications to provide services in response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in Pierce County. These CARES Act funds will complement Pierce County’s integrated system of housing assistance that quickly re-houses households who are experiencing homelessness in accordance with U.S. Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidance. 

PLEASE NOTE: There is now a separation application for Rental Assistance, Hygiene/Sanitation, and Emergency Shelter Expansion

Third Review: Submit applications by 4:30 p.m. on June 26, 2020 to be considered for the third round of funding.
20-003-Homeless-CARES NOFA





19-001-DD-EDPS Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for Employment and Day Program Services Pierce County Human Services, Developmental Disabilities Program, is soliciting qualified providers to
deliver supported employment and day services to eligible adults with developmental disabilities, ages
twenty-one (21) and up. Regardless of the specific employment service that an individual initially
receives, the long-term objective is the achievement of paid employment in the community, at minimum
wage or higher.
