COVID-19 Business Impact Survey

Pierce County businesses were surveyed in July 2020 regarding the impacts the COVID-19 pandemic has had on their businesses and what type of support and services they have utilized and need for recovery. This survey closed on July 6, 2020.

Who participated in the survey?

  • Over 1,400 business leaders representing businesses across all sectors located throughout Pierce County completed the survey
  • The majority are small businesses, 75% have 10 or fewer employees
  • 55% have been in business for 11 or more years; 19% 6-10 years; and 25% five years or less
  • 28% are minority-owned businesses 
  • 51% are women-owned businesses
