SUSPENSION OF JURY TRIALS
Today, Pierce County Superior Court postponed criminal jury trials until at least February 1, 2021 and civil jury trials until at least March 1, 2021. There are no jury trials ongoing at the County City Building currently. This decision was made in part due to the Governor’s extension of his restriction on gatherings and our interest in keeping staff and court participants as safe as possible. Emergency Order 20-22, does not affect bench trials, or other in-court appearances.
Superior Court requests that citizens of Pierce County follow the recommendations of the Governor in order to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
